Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey
Bayonne, with its immense coal docks and
petroleum refineries, is growing rapidly, and its population is fast
approaching 50,000. Bayonne and Union townships were organized in 1861,
and the city of Bayonne in 1869. Its population at that date was barely
one tenth of what it is to-day.
